When the phone rings in the Medical Alert Response Center, a highly-trained operator carefully handles your call to ensure you get the help you need quickly and efficiently. Whether it’s dealing with a serious emergency, alerting your Personal Responder for assistance, or even having a friendly chat – our Operators are there for you.
To serve the widest possible number of subscribers, the Response Center employs staff who are native speakers of languages other than English. Our operators are also trained to use the International Language Line for real time translation services in 140 languages. To ensure superior service and the safety of our subscribers, we maintain a completely redundant Monitoring Center that receives daily back up of all data and can be brought online immediately with no disruption of service, if the need arises.
What Happens When There’s an Emergency?
Our dedicated operators are ready to respond to any emergency 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You get help at the push of a button. Press the medical emergency button and a distress signal is sent to the UL approved medical monitoring center. This signal opens the line of communication between the monitoring center and your home. When the high-speed two-way connection is complete you’ll hear the reassuring voice of a professional monitoring team member. We immediately check on your status and, in the event of an emergency, dispatch your local EMS.
Again, if needed, we’ll contact key holders/loved ones. We inform the EMS with any issues. This information helps prepare the EMS to assist our clients effectively and efficiently when needed most.
