Setting Up Your System

Plug In Your MobileElite

Securely insert the small end of the power cube into the back of the smart cradle. Plug the large end into an electrical outlet not controlled by a light switch. The power light on the charging cradle will illuminate green.

Place your MobileElite in the indicated direction in the smart cradle. The power light and signal indicator light will flash and your device will announce, “Your device is now charging.”

Please note: If the battery strength is too low, the device may not emit voice prompts when initially placed in the cradle. The device may need to be charged for up to 30 minutes before the voice prompts are heard.

When the signal indicator light illuminates steady green, your device is registered on the cellular network.

Wait until your device announces, “Welcome to Medical Alert. It’s time to test your system. Please ask the operator to confirm your home address and that your system is working properly. Press and hold your emergency call button for 3 seconds now.”

Inserting Button into Neck Pendant or Wristband

To insert the button into the holder, place the neck pendant or wristband face down on a solid surface so that you are looking at the back of the holder. With the front side of the button facing down, insert the button into the back of the holder. Use sufficient force to push and lock your button into the accessory. To remove the button from the holder, press on the front edge and use sufficient force to push the button out.

Activate and Test

Firmly press and hold the emergency call button for 3 seconds. Please wait and listen for the beep before releasing the button.

Your handheld device will announce, “Dialing the emergency response center now. To cancel this call, press and hold the emergency call button for 3 seconds now.” Allow your test call to proceed to the emergency response team.

The handheld device will ring and announce, “One moment while we determine your location. An operator will be with you shortly.”

When the operator answers, let them know you are testing your device. The operator will verify your system is working properly.

The handheld device will announce, “Your call has ended. Thank you.”

Leave your handheld device in the charger until fully charged. This may take up to an hour. When the red power light turns off, your device is fully charged.

Using Your System

Placing a Call

Firmly press and hold the emergency call button on your handheld device. After hearing the beep and the red light around the emergency call button is blinking red, release the emergency call button.

OR

Firmly press and hold the center of your wearable button. The green light will blink.

Once connected, speak into your device to communicate with the emergency response center.

Canceling a Call

If the red light around the emergency call button is blinking, firmly press and hold the center of the button for 3 seconds and the call will be canceled.

If the light illuminates solid red, your call has already connected to the emergency response center and the call cannot be canceled. Standby, and tell the operator that you are okay.

Your Message System

Your device has a unique voice message system. When you have a new message, the blue message light will be illuminated. You will also hear a sequence of tones.

Anytime you see the blue message light illuminated, you have an important message. To listen to your message, press the blue message button. The voice message will play one time and then be discarded.

Test the Range of Your Device

It is recommended that you have someone assist you with this test to avoid a false dispatch of emergency assistance. Ask your assistant to stay near the MobileElite device so they can speak with the operator when your system calls the emergency response center.

Wear your MobileElite neck pendant or wrist button and walk to the furthest area of your home.

Press and hold the center of your button for two seconds to call the emergency response center. If you are within range, you should see the green light on your button blinking. It will turn solid green when your call is connected. If the light blinks red, you are too far from your MobileElite device. Please move closer, and try again.

Important: You MUST have your handheld MobileElite device with you when using the service outside the home.
